News from the Harbinger team
First of all, a big thank you!
We are starting to see a gradual flow of submissions to Harbinger, which is warming our hearts! It's always good to see work start to come in. Thanks to those who have submitted their stuff so far; we'll be getting back to you in due course.
It's been great to see that lots of the submissions have been artwork! Bring on the artists, baby; they need all the help they can get. Of course, if we end up with a 'literary' journal that is more art than literature, we might need to redefine ourselves. It is exciting though; the internet is such a fluid medium that you can reinvent yourself as many times as you need to.
Call for book reviewers & books to be reviewed
Speaking of which we are still calling for book reviewers but we are also sending out a call today for indie authors and indie press who want their books reviewed to drop us a line. We are hoping to get a nice little band of quality critics together with some quality literature to review.
If you want to join our ranks as a critic, you need to prove to us that you're capable, which means sending links of your work to us to scrutinise.
The Harbinger team does not review every single book that we receive, primarily because we've had some shockers. It is entirely up to our discretion what gets reviewed and what doesn't - so if you send us your book you need patience, grasshopper.
Harbinger is now listed at Duotrope
In the latest happy news, our journal is now listed over at Duotrope's Digest. The Digest is a huge database of current markets in fiction, poetry, anthologies and so on. The best thing about this is that you can record your response rate over there, so that other people know how lovely Harbinger is. What a beautiful place, is the web? Magnificent!
Keep your work coming in!
So, we'll leave you now to your happy scribblings. Stay tuned for the next instalment of Harbinger which, we hope, won't be far away.
